“Chrome protects this page”#

chrome:// pages, Chrome settings and the Chrome Web Store cannot be inspected by any extension. Open a regular website and try again.

“Inspection unavailable”#

SpecMiru only gets access to a tab when you invoke it there. Click the SpecMiru icon on that page (or press Alt+Shift+S), then retry.

The panel doesn't open with the shortcut#

Another extension may already use Alt+Shift+S. Check or change it at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.

“Overlay isn't available on this page”#

Switch to Docked in the panel header, or open SpecMiru from the toolbar icon.

I can't select something inside a frame#

A frame is inspected as a container. Content from another origin is protected by the browser: open the frame's page directly to inspect it.

A capture was refused#

Element captures are refused when the region contains form fields, editable areas, frames or detected secrets, or when the element moved. Choose another element, or use Free region or Visible screen (fields and frames are then masked). Don't scroll during a full-page capture.

An asset can't be copied or saved#

The image comes from another domain that doesn't allow reading it (CORS). Open it in a tab to save it. Files over 8 MB are skipped.

“Export too large”#

Copies are limited to 128 KiB. Use Compact, or turn off visible text, children or HTML.

“Extension connection interrupted”#

The extension was reloaded or updated. Close and reopen the panel.
